Pražák, Daniel ; Dvořák, Dominik (advisor) ; Pol, Milan (referee) ; Michek, Stanislav (referee)
In recent years, there has been a great expansion of school networking in foreign education systems, but this approach appears less often in the Czech environment. This dissertation presents a case study that analyses the interaction of schools cooperating with the Gymnasium Přírodní škola through the concept of networking. The main sources of data are interviews with actors, school documents and field notes of the researcher. The study describes the mutual influence and sharing of elements of the innovative model between the schools involved in this network. Special attention is paid to the factors that facilitate or hinder effective networking and innovation sharing, as well as the role of principals, teachers and student involvement as active agents of change. The work thus connects previous research knowledge with the unique Czech context, which enriches the professional literature on networking of educational institutions. The results offer insight into the dynamics and challenges associated with creating effective educational networks and bring support for innovation in education through networking. Economic Evaluation of Project Carried out on Municipal Level
Kaňa, Jan ; Holá, Michaela (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor thesis described an economic evaluation of a public investment project which was implemented at the municipal level. The theoretical part focused on induction to the problem by explanation of basic concepts, presentation of various possible methods for evaluation of public projects, and overview of possible ways to finance the project at the municipal level. The practical part evolved a case study which examined an economic evaluation of ‘sokolovna‘ reconstruction in a village ‘Kobylí‘, followed by determination of requirements to gain critical variables efficiency and critical input values from the investor's point of view.

Use of 3D printing technology for the design of spare parts production
Šafl, Pavel ; Zimáková, Jana (referee) ; Binar, Tomáš (advisor)
This seminar thesis deals with the issue of 3D printing in companies. The aim was to describe additive manufacturing and 3D printing technologies. Moreover, to select the most common materials which are used and describe them. It was also necessary to perform a study of mechanical stresses and prepare a detailed description of the mechanical properties of materials. From these data, methods of use in the automotive industry were described. The most important part was to introduce case studies and create a description of which 3D printing technologies have the fastest return on investment.
The systems of building services in immovable heritage
Maurerová, Lenka ; Vlček, Milan (referee) ; Kabele,, Karel (referee) ; Doc.Ing. Martina Peřinková, Ph.D (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The present PhD. thesis deals with the systems of building services (namely heating, ventilating and air conditioning, shading) which provide required indoor microclimate inside the immovable heritage. The work thus combines the exclusively technical field of building services (BS) and the general principles of heritage conservation. The aim of my PhD. thesis is the analysis of immovable heritage conservation processes, focusing on the current state of research and BS systems documentation. Furthermore the work concerns the possibilities of temporary measurements of indoor climate parameters inside the immovable heritage, and aims to develop a computer model (in BSim software) for the simulation of various working conditions in the selected buildings. For the stated aims were selected three representative historic houses: historical assembly hall at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Brno University of Technology; the Palm Greenhouse at Lednice Chateau in Moravia; and Villa Tugendhat in Brno. These buildings had been surveyed for several years, and in this PhD. thesis I present their analysis, evaluation, and conclusions. The aims of this PhD. thesis broadly correspond to the transnational objectives. The present research is, for example, in accordance with the international document ICOMOS Charter (Zimbabwe, 2013) which is concerned with the analysis, conservation, and restoration of architectural heritage. The research of immovable heritage is also supported by European Union, e.g. by the Seventh Framework Programme of EU.
System for Supporting Communication of Agile Project Management
Krajíček, Michal ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The thesis deals with problems of agile methodologies in the settings of virtual teams. It begins with the description of virtual teams and their models and deals with both theoretical and practical aspects of mutual communication of their team members. The thesis follows with general characteristics of agile approach and their demonstration on representative methodologies. One of them (methodology Scrum) is described in detail in the next chapter and linked with possibilities of its deployment within virtual teams. Practical part of the thesis deals with the design and implementation of a software application that is focused on effective communication support of virtual teams that utilize Scrum. Deployment of this application is discussed within a case study of a real project which team faced problems of agile software development in the settings of virtual team on a daily basis.
Reengineering of Two-Tier Applications
Oberreiter, Michal ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with an analysis of issues regarding reengineering of two-tier applications. Based on the available literature, a comprehensive description of methodology, strategies and approaches is compiled. Relevant software architectures are described, mutually compared and selected problems and their solutions are discussed. As a demonstration of the described methodology, a real-world application was chosen in collaboration with company I&C Energo. This application named Cable Management System is thoroughly analysed and issues concerning the current implementation are identified. Based on the gathered knowledge, a new reengineered cloud-native microservice-based solution is designed and implemented. The result of this thesis is a case study of reengineering application on concrete example of Cable Management System.
Modelling of Economic Efficiency of Transport Infrastructure Projects
Michalik, René ; MBA, Vladimír Kotek, (referee) ; Korytárová, Jana (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a cost-benefit analysis of investments in road infrastructure. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part includes a description of the cost-benefit analysis procedure and a deeper description of evaluating investments in road and highway constructions. The practical part deals with the specific investment for the construction of highway. This involves applying information from the theoretical part to this specific investment and evaluating the economic efficiency, including risk analysis. The main indicator of the economic efficiency is the net present value.
Issue of Housing and its Solution in the Village Kobylí
